Love

Red gloves holding a heart shaped snowball.

Prompt #1: It’s snowing outside. The world is quiet and still. How will you enjoy the moment?

Prompt #2: February is often swarming in red hearts and red roses. The pressure of showing our love for everyone is everywhere. Who do you naturally want to share your love with? Who are the lucky persons in your life with whom you wish to share your love?

Prompt #3: Love is a powerful and expansive word. Write a poem about love, one of the most common themes found in literature.

My Journal Page

Prompt #1 and 3 Response:

Sitting near a frost-rimmed window, with my legs folded under me, snuggled under a blanket and a steaming mug of tea on the table next to me, I write. My notebook is worn down from worries and expectations, and stories of gratitude and joy. When my world is quiet, I look to explore my inner voice on the page. I enjoy playing with words. I try not to control what finds its way to the page. There is no anticipated outcome. I let the universe hold the pen.
